Paul Gunaratnam

Paul Gunaratnam, PgMP, is a Performance Measurement and Effectiveness Manager, based in London. Prior to this he was working as the Operations Manager for the Global Health Support Services program, serving the Bureau of Global Health of USAID, which provides programmatic and technical support to the three main offices of the bureau (Offices of HIV/AIDs; Population and Reproductive Health, and; Health Systems, Infectious Diseases and Nutrition). Before this he was working as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) specialist managing and providing technical assistance and support to several projects in the transport, rural and social development sectors. He served as the M&E consultant for the Nakai Plateau Resettlement Monitoring (NRM) project in Lao PDR where he honed his M&E skills setting up a LSMS monitoring system to measure the social and economic development for 16 resettlement villages in Khammoanne province in central Laos. He has worked on a number of development initiatives in Albania, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and China studying social, environmental and economic impact(s) of projects for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, government ministries, FAO and USAID and advising an array of NGOs and non-profits in his area of specialization.
