Peter Colenso is Director, Investments; working principally on Education. Prior to joining CIFF in September 2011, Peter was Head of the Human Development Department in the UK Department for International Development (DFID), leading DFID’s policy and international work on Education, Health, HIV/AIDS and Nutrition. Prior to that he was Head of Education in DFID. Peter has worked for the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Commission and non-governmental organisations in Africa, Asia and the Balkans. He has a BA degree from Oxford University in Philosophy and Modern Languages, MSc from the London School of Economics & Political Science in Social Policy & Planning in Developing Countries, and a Doctorate of Education from Sussex University.
