Shirley Rodrigues is a Portfolio Manager working for CIFF’s Climate Change Special Initiative with the role of helping our implementation partners deliver agreed impacts. Shirley was formerly Director of Policy at the Sustainable Development Commission, providing policy advice and research on economic, social and environmental issues to the UK Government and Devolved Administrations. Between 2005 and 2009 Shirley worked at the Greater London Authority as Head of Environment, advising the Mayor of London on environment and climate change issues. Shirley developed a number of landmark strategies and helped design and support the delivery of a number of environmental initiatives including the London Low Emission Zone and Climate Change Action Plan, the first city plan of its kind. Prior to 2005, Shirley held a number of roles in London local government where she supported local authorities in developing new policies and infrastructure for London, and in raising standards to promote innovation. Shirley holds a BA Hons in French Studies from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Westminster.
