Children Affected by HIV/AIDS

From our inception, we have focused on funding programmes for children made vulnerable, and often orphaned, by HIV/AIDS. Our investments within this portfolio area are designed to mitigate the negative consequences of this ravaging disease and improve the lives of children infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Our priorities include:

• Ensuring paediatric AIDS treatment is accessible worldwide;
• Scaling up best practices for the prevention of mother to child transmission;
• Establishing food security and nutrition as a key component of care;
• Ensuring investments in HIV/AIDS care and treatment are integrated within the national health care system;
• Promoting comprehensive approaches for vulnerable children and their families.
