The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is a rapidly growing and relatively new foundation. Our mission is to demonstrably improve the lives of children in developing countries.

As CIFF evolves we aspire to:

  • Attain the optimal impact for children as defined by a set of priority outcomes essential for children to survive, thrive and mature successfully into adulthood

CIFF’s increasing portfolio of investments impacting children globally is driving rapid organisational growth. We have opportunities available at nearly every level of the organisation, and we are actively recruiting for positions in three CIFF regions: London (Headquarters), East Africa (mainly Nairobi) and India (New Delhi).

Office of CEO

CIFF is launching a new Special Initiative on Climate Change and is seeking a Director to lead this effort. The Director of this initiative will need to be both strategic and visionary while having the concrete skills and to develop the business plans that demonstrate the rigor of research, justify the proposed approach, and enable CIFF to measure its impact.

Research

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is hiring a Director of Research to play a key role in driving CIFF's investment strategy to ensure the Foundation achieves the greatest return on its investments.

Grants

To identify and nurture new programmes in line with CIFF's criteria and standards.

The Director, Global Investments will lead a team of investment managers who build opportunities for transformational change for children. The DGI will develop grant opportunities within CIFF priority impact areas that are based on rigorous assessment of gaps and bottlenecks to bring about cost effective, global and sustainable for impact for children. The team is based in London and works closely with Portfolio Managers who manage CIFF-funded programs.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is hiring Investment Managers in Africa, India and the UK to develop grant opportunities, evaluate potential grantee organisations and formulate innovative proposals and strategies that meet CIFF’s strategic goals for impact.

Several types of analyst positions are available: Grants Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Investment Analyst and Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst. Analysts will be based in East Africa, India or London, depending on their post.

Programmes

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is hiring Portfolio Analysts to help advance its programmatic objectives globally. Currently, specialists are sought with experience devising and applying monitoring, implementation and evaluation systems.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is hiring Portfolio Managers (PMs) for posts in Africa and India. Each Portfolio Manager will oversee CIFF-supported programmes within a designated region or country, coordinate strategy with other CIFF staff globally and represent CIFF with senior-level government officials, investors and programme partners.

Operations

To manage finance, administration and personnel.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is seeking to hire a Grantee Assessment and Internal Audit Manager to take responsibility for the assessment of all CIFF’s grantee internal controls, processes and procedures to ensure that CIFF’s grant monies are safeguarded and utilised in the pre-agreed manner. In addition, there will be a focus on performing CIFF-wide internal audit duties. The successful candidate will have proven audit experience and be able to demonstrate desire for hands on involvement.
