In an early effort to crystallize its investment strategy, CIFF interviewed foundations funding in excess of $50m per year. Our findings demonstrated that those funders who are actively engaged with a limited number of grantees had greater knowledge about programmatic outcomes and were able to drive performance. Thus, CIFF aims to fund and manage between 15-20 initiatives annually who are able to achieve transformative and large-scale change for children.
