The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation develops close working relationships with organisations in which we invest and organisations that co-fund these investments. As an “engaged funder”, we share accountability with our partners and work collaboratively to solve problems and ensure impact.

CIFF evaluates implementing partners based on their potential for impact, sustainability and scale. In addition to programmatic quality, we carefully assess organisational capacity, including leadership, management and operations. Our rigorous due diligence process aims to strengthen programme design and partner capacity to execute funded projects.

CIFF also actively seeks funding partners with whom we can co-fund investments. Our current funding partners have a focus on sustainable and leveraged outcomes and commitment to operational excellence. As CIFF moves toward more extensive global impact, we expect to invest increasingly in programmes whose sustainability is enhanced with multiple funding partners.
